my guilty pleasure

Hello lovelies! First off I am sorry for not posting last week it has just been crazy hectic week and I was working on a bi project I will reveal later. So through this hectic week I didn't feel like eating toast and fruit for breakfast so I made this yummy (not so healthy) coffee cake in a mug. Super easy and really yummy. The only thing I did different is replace the sour cream with 1tb of whipping cream. The recipe comes from prudent baby (love her blog) which was one of the first blogs I discovererd. Anyway, would like to share with you some photos and the reciepe with you!

curently in photos

Currently I have been doing many things. I am finding more and more everyday that my summer is different this year. Last summer I slept in almost everyday, this summer it is a privilege when I sleep in. Not that it is a bad thing I just find it ironic. There have been a lot more things to do from sewing to blogging to cleaning. But I am enjoying my summer and the little happy moments that come with it.

no makeup monday

I was inspired by this music video below to go without makeup more often. I often find I get caught up and looking good for the "camera" and that is with make up. Even though I don't wear a lot of makeup I like it because it just gives me an extra boost, which is perfectly okay. But, I need to learn to be okay in my all natural skin and honestly I am okay with my natural skin. I don't really like makeup but I know for some people, they can't be seen without it. Other people like me, prefer not to wear it. Still though, I feel like I am not complete without it.

What I am trying to get to is that starting next Monday I am going to wear no makeup (except some Burt's Bee's lip balm, ha)  for just that day and then the following Monday, and maybe so on and so on. I just think this will help me feel even more comfortable in my own skin. It even gives me five extra minutes in the morning, ha.  :) So, what do you think, would you be willing to go at least one day without makeup? If you need a little boost go watch this video or even if you don't this will brighten your day....

I have always loved Colbie Calliat but she just put this over the top.

It is worth your time, I promise.

a day in the life

I always love reading people daily schedules and such, so I thought I would make my own. Though each day varies, I am just going to give you an overview. I have some days where I have no free time till 9 o'clock that night and others I have free time all day to work on blog post and sewing things. My mornings and nights stay pretty consistent though. Overall, I like to have a routine and a schedule.

7:00-8:30- wake up
      -do yoga and exercise
-wash my face and brush my teeth
      -clean up my roon
      -get ready for the day
-eat breafast and work on my blog

8:00-9:00- leave the house for the day
-do anything from babysitting to working out to hanging out with friends

4:00-9:00- normally home by then
      -relax, read a book
      -take a shower
      -dinner

9:00- 10:30- get ready for bed
-put coconut oil on my body
      -brush my teeth
      -get in bed
-do my devotion and search the web
      -zzzzz....

That's what a day looks like in the life of Moriah. xoxo lovelies.

new sewing room decor

Update: 7/12

I have had a few new additions to my sewing area and love how it turned out. I will do a more in depth post later.

As you might have seen in this post, my sewing decor has changed a little and love the new look. I thought I would share some pictures and tips for giving your space a new fresh look without spending a fortune.

I am loving the new floral look and I thought I would not only give my sewing space a new look but my room too. An updated room tour might come out soon too. Keep reading.

tips for you:

1. use what you have already // this little redo cost me $0

2. change out your prints // I love having pretty prints up and the best way to give it a new look is to change them up

3. have a theme // if you can't tell my theme is floral

Now here is my little update in pictures:
