room makeover.

I recently re-organized and re-dedcorated parts of my room and I thought I would share. I loved how it turned out, because it describes me. My favorite part of my room would probably be my makeup area/ closet and my craft/sewing area. Yes, that is probably a little over 1/2 of my clothes (the other half is sitting in the dryer sill. ha.). I figured it was time to let go of all the clothes I never wore and give them to someone who would. My makeup area has different quotes I love and I read them almost everyday. Now, my picture wall is another one of my favorites. I never thought I could pull this off, but I love to different colors and sizes. Last but not least, my new updated craft/sewing area. The color scheme is teal and grey and I will have another blog post dedicated just about my craft/sewing area. I hope you enjoy and get some inspirartion. Thanks and have a lovely day.

 Picture Wall. Bed. Reading Area.

Makeup Area.

Bookshelves. Surf Board. Tassel Banner

The end.
P.S. A lot of deco I did myself; so, if you have any questions on how to do (xyz) just comment below or contact me, thanks!

you are beautiful.

You are beautiful. I could go on and on about how beautiful you are and without even seeing your face, I know you are beautiful in some way.  You see, for most of you that wouldn't mean a thing. You are too deep in the world's version of "beauty"; you cannot see God's version. The world tells us that being skinny, and having perfect skin and perfect hair is beauty. Beauty is not that - beauty is who you truly are. If you are constantly comparing yourself to the worlds view of beauty, then you are not being logical. These things (perfect skin, perfect hair, and being super thin) are not practical. The models you see on magazines- it's called makeup and photoshop. God says beauty is within, because it is. Proverbs 31:30- Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

This does not mean you should never spend time on your looks but as someone once told me "Your inner beauty is just as important, if not more important than your  outer beauty". This is a constant struggle for all of us because we believe the world's lies.  You need to realize how beautiful and amazing you truly are because you are God's creation.  Read His word and find out what He says about you.  What I suggest too is to make a list of 10+ ways you are beautiful inside and out and constantly remind yourselves of those. Put them on your mirror and read them everyday, along with the printable above. To print it click here.

diy lip balm

For you procrastinators, who need something for your valentine fast, I have something for you! Two Ingredient Lip Balm. It only takes you all of 10 minutes and since you made it yourself, it is even more special. As many of you may know coconut oil has become extremely popular. So, I have been looking all over for it and I finally found some at Wal-Mart. Coconut Oil is a little expensive but it is a multi-purposer. You can use it from everything from lotion to lip balm to a healthier version of oil in your recipes. Strange, right? But, I love it! Anyway, if you couldn't guess for the lip balm you will need, coconut oil or vaseline and lipstick.

How To:
1. Take a forkful of coconut oil/Vaseline and mix it with a chunk of your lipstick.
2. Then, stick it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften up.
3. Mix together and pour into your container.
4. Freeze for 10-15 minutes and there you have it!

watercolors and such.

If you have yet to discover Brit + Co, you are missing out. It's like a Pinterest news feed. Heaven. Anyways, while I was scrolling on Brit + Co, I saw these watercolor cards; I was just amazed that I could actually use my pretty watercolors for something that didn't look like a 5 year old made it. :) Since Valentines Day is coming up these are great DIY cards that can also be transformed into artwork.  I took a shot at it and loved how they turned out! I am no artist and these were super SIMPLE, trust me! So if you would like to see how it all works click here.
